How do people interact with an Alexa cook-a-long skill and is this a realistic application of the tech?
This problem was pretty easy to answer from the start. They didn’t - this was a new world we where entering that we wanted to discover if it was at all possible? Can Alexa help us or hinder us into following a Food recipe?
The first mistake we made was jumping straight into the digital side of the prototype. We thought that understanding the limits of Alexa was key. It helped - we found out that there is an 8 second memory, and could only re-call in a linear way. You couldn’t ask Alexa to go back and tell you how many eggs.
No, the biggest problem was understanding how we make a recipe, how we move around the kitchen, how we prepare for the food. It quickly became aparant that we need need to drop building prototypes with the Engineers, and take them into the kitchen and learn how we followed and prepared recipes.

An already established brand and as part on a big team I helped make the transition for TV to the online forum. BBC Three went 'off air' and purely became a digital offering in 2016. Content adapted and so did the the frame work of how we did this.
I was responsible for making sure that Three had its own digital venue - exciting and relevant to its young audience and balancing it within BBCs GEL guidelines.

The Lonely Planet application could fundamentally work as rich rewarding and relevant app by utilising users own content generated from Instagram, Youtube and Facebook. Submitting all these media forms with specific destination tags will create the ability to monitor the app’s popularity. The most effective content can then be driven into specific areas of the site encouraging users to book flights, review hotels and purchase merchandise etc.

In 2013 I traveled to Blackburn to film what seamed like a typical small northern factory. However there is nothing typical about this place or its people. I wanted to try and get this across thrugh the film.

Working at the AWESOMENESS of Studio North gave me a chance to play with our brand new Canon 700D with a 50mm lens. And what perfect model to use than Mr Steve Buckly who has been at Studio North for 10 years. So I made a little pop video for him.
An international annual meeting of representatives had been using an event app already, however up and till now, the event app had been pretty generic in the data displayed. On this next cycle, the next stage in creating an interface that allowed the app to become ‘personally useful’. With the integration of the PRC code to unlock the delegates, the app could now use this to build upon to deliver personal data such as meeting table Diaries for instance.

Studio North are a fantastic independent brand design consultancy based in Manchester. A new brand was being created for and by themselves, and part that brand development involved a way to simply and quickly get across to clients what they would get from Studio North in as far as “The Brand Experience”.
An idea was storyboarded up and turned into an animation that gets across, what can be a complex process, in to a more digestible, fun and informative piece.
The people of Manchester are proud of where they come from, and why shouldn’t they be? This is the place where the atom was split, the Industrial Revolution was born, the Co-operative Movement started, and the first programmable computer and vegetarianism was invented. It’s the home of Oasis, Elbow, the Smiths, the Hacienda and the Warehouse Project.
So when the Forever Manchester Poem was commissioned they needed a visual way to accompany the words so beautifully written by poet Tony Walsh that so successfully strike at the heart.
My role included design, and production of a 3D Manchester Living room that could show the story that was being told. The budget was tight so I used After Effects to create the space that had to feel and live the words that we hear.
